Natural Skincare Routine
Steam and Essential oils are like Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston. They're a perfect pair, but the world (and Angelina Jolie) have kept them apart. Not anymore if we can help it! Steam opens your pores and softens your skin which allows the oils (or salts) to absorb into your skin and work their magic! You can also steam with salt water for some amazing skin benefits. This is the most amazing way to naturally make your skin glow.
So leave the fake botox and hormone disrupting chemical treatments to Jennifer and Angelina (and in reality probably Brad too), because adding this natural ritual to your daily skincare routine will take years off your skin's appearance. Not to mention it feels absolutely amazing.

Step 1: Add 2 drops of Copaiba, Blue Tansy, and Frankincense (or your favorite facial blend) to lava stone and turn on your Aromatherapy Steamer.
Step 2: While unit is heating, gently cleanse face with your favorite natural cleanser.
Step 3: Sit above your Aromatherapy Steamer and steam your face for 10-15 minutes, dabbing face with towel periodically to remove condensation. The steam opens your pores and allows the oils to enter and revitalize your skin while also helping with relaxation through inhalation of the oils! Tip: Use towel to form a tent over your head to trap the steam and create your own mini sauna.
Step 4: With your skin softened by the steam and oils, gently exfoliate your skin with an oil-infused salt scrub. Salt scrub recipe below.
Step 5: Gently rinse skin with cool water to refresh your skin and close your pores.
Step 6: Enjoy your beautiful Skin!

Homemade Salt Scrub Recipe!
Salt acts as a carrier for a number of invaluable nutrients and minerals that make your skin happy, including potassium, sulphur, calcium and magnesium. Use sea salt, Pink Himalayan salt, or epsom salt for the most benefit. Ever wonder why a day at the beach and swimming in the ocean brightens your skin and clears away acne and oil? Not only does salt exfoliate dead cells from your face but it also helps your body maintain a healthy water balance so that it can fend off toxins.
Try steaming your face with salt water to enjoy these great results. You can also make your own homemade salt scrub. Applying salt directly to your face is a great way to enable your pores and your skin cells to drink up the nutrients available in salt. Here's our recipe for your own homemade salt scrub:
1 cup organic virgin coconut oil
1 cup Pink Himalayan (or Epsom) salt
¼ cup Fractionated Coconut Oil
15 drops of your favorite essential oil
- Melt coconut oil in microwave or over double boiler.
- Once melted, remove from heat.
- Add Fractionated Coconut Oil and Pink Himalayan Salt to melted coconut oil.
- Stir until combined.
- Add essential oil.
- Let sit until coconut oil solidifies, stirring every 10 minutes. Tip: Put in refrigerator to speed up the cooling process.
- Stir until well combined and store in an air-tight container.
- To use, rub on skin and rinse with warm water.
