Steaming for Relief Routine

Between masks, wildfires and viruses the only thing helping our breathing situation is social distancing from our mothers-in-law. With the cold season swinging into full effect you might be feeling congested or under the weather. Steam is extremely beneficial for opening airways and clearing sinuses making it the perfect delivery system for therapeutic grade essential oils. Mixing steam and essential oils is the perfect way to support your respiratory health, soothe sore throats and relieve congestion. This is particularly important this year! Step 1: Add 1 drop of Oregano, Melaleuca, Lemon, and peppermint (or your favorite protective blend) to your lava stone. Place the stone in the groove and turn on your unit.

 

Step 2: Create your healing sauna by covering your head with towel and making a towel tent to trap the steam and oils. Sit directly behind the unit and let the steam fill the towel tent.

 

Step 3: Focus on breathing deeply through your nose and out through your mouth.

 

Step 4: Periodically dab your face and blow your nose as your sinuses drain and the oils are delivered to your respiratory system.

 

Step 5: Smile because you’re feeling a lot better and your mother-in-law still isn’t there!
